Healthy Rhythms

God gave us Torah, and Yeshua (Jesus) came not to abolish it but to complete the teaching of it — to show us what it looks like to actually do the things God tells us to do — in perfect obedience. Yeshua paid the price for our inability to follow Torah perfectly and to allow us to be redeemed despite our imperfections. We follow Torah with joy because these are the rhythms God gave us, having created us and knowing exactly how our bodies and souls operate and what they need to function fully and well.

Jesus was a Jew. Jesus remains a Jew. If we are unable to recognize this fact, then the truth of our salvation loses some of its miraculous power. None of us (Gentiles) would have been adopted into the chosen people of Adonai if Yeshua had not gone to the cross as He did. He came to save the Jews from sin; He came to save the Gentiles from our sin, yes, but He came to save us from our “Gentileness” – something we have absolutely no control over. He is our only way in. That is a big deal. And that reminds us of our place, of who we are.
